WHY CLEANSE?

Maybe you’re a produce department rockstar - a cart full of fresh fruits and veggies is the norm, but you’re looking to take it to the next level. Maybe you’re a novice when it comes to greens - pickles and relish count as vegetables, right?

Regardless of your relationship with fruits and veggies, enlist Peeled to kick your system into high gear. We’ve crafted your all-natural, raw solution for wellness. On a basic level, a cleanse does just that - clean out your system and regulate your colon. It takes almost a full day for your body to process a meal - and considering most of us eat at least 3 times a day, that doesn’t leave any downtime for your system to rest and recharge. By juicing, we give our digestive systems a break while still maintaining the vitamins and nutrients we need to thrive

And thriving is key! Cleansing can lead to higher energy levels, greater concentration, and a healthy glow that proves you’re feeling as fabulous on the inside as you look on the outside

Our cleanse plans provide balanced, manageable options for everyone - novice and expert juicers alike. Choose from our Green Alignment, Classic Cleanse, and Maintenance packages.

ROCK STAR INGREDIENTS

Kale
Kale is a cruciferous vegetable which helps fight cancer with a collection antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer compounds. Kale can be used in both a cancer prevention and cancer treatment. Kale contains both lutein and beta-carotene which in addition to fighting cancer are also protective against cataracts, atherosclerosis, and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Kale is an excellent source of vitamin K (which is critical to regulating the body’s inflammation response) and ALA type omega-3 fatty acid work together to support this vegetable’s disease-fighting power.  Kale provides glucosinolates which have the power to remove toxins from the body and  reduce the risk of and treat colon, breast, bladder, prostate, and ovarian cancers. Kale can be used as a gentle and natural way to lower your cholesterol instead of using pharmaceuticals.

Beet
That distinctive red-violet color (and the related golden color) of beets are a type of pigment called betalians which serve as both antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents. The antioxidants in beets possess special benefits for the nervous system and support eye health. Betalains also bind toxins to support elimination and detox. The soluble fiber, pectin, in beets increases nutrient absorption while the insoluble fiber promotes cardiovascular and colon health.

Lemon
Lemons have anti-cancer, antioxidant properties. Consuming lemons regularly reduces progression of atherosclerosis, supports healthy levels of good cholesterol. This citrus fruit provides both zinc and manganese to support immune function, reduce prostate cancer. Lemons boost immune function, stimulate digestion, and reduce the risk of death from heart disease, stroke, and cancer.

Ginger
Ginger possesses anti-cancer properties that inhibit growth of colorectal and ovarian cancer cells. Studies have shown that ginger significantly reduced inflammation and pain in arthritic patients. Even small doses of ginger effectively reduces nausea and vomiting associated with pregnancy and provides relief from motion sickness.

Cacao
Cacao, the raw bean used to make chocolate, has been used and revered by cultures beginning in the pre-Colombian era in Central and South America. Cacao is extremely high in antioxidants which are anti-aging and support healthy cellular reproduction. Cacao is a nutrient powerhouse providing minerals such as iron, zinc, copper, and magnesium. Magnesium found in cacao and chocolate supports bone health, relaxes the muscles, and enhances feelings of calm. Cacao elevates mood and decreases depression, by stimulating the release of several neurotransmitters (brain chemicals that tell the body what to do) that support feelings of euphoria, bliss, excitement, alertness, and love. The combination of these emotional effects has given cacao and chocolate the legendary status as an aphrodisiac.

Carrot
Carrots are rich with antioxidant nutrients including, but not limited to vitamin C, beta-carotene, and other carotenoids. Carrots have been shown to be protective against cardiovascular disease. The carotenoids in carrots continue to demonstrate protection and support of eye health. Together, the fiber and nutrients in carrots support digestive tract and colon health thus lowering the risk of colon cancer.

Coconut Water
Coconut water is hydrating, high in electrolytes, antioxidants, very high in potassium, high in B-complex vitamins and minerals, amino acids, enzymes that support digestion and metabolism. Coconuts contain cytokinins (plant hormones) which have anti-cancer, anti-aging, and anti-clotting action.

Pear
Pears are the purveyors of a whole host of phytonutrients (good stuff that comes from plants) which provide a wide range of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits that effectively fight common, preventable chronic diseases such as type-2 diabetes and heart disease. Pears provide both soluble and insoluble fiber which supports healthy digestion, lowers cholesterol, and reduces the risk of diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.

Apple
Along with other flavonoids, quercetin, found most concentrated in apple skin, maintains healthy blood glucose levels by slowing the breakdown of carbohydrates into simple sugars and by stimulating and supporting the activity of insulin removing simple sugars from the blood stream. Fiber in apples helps protect against colon and breast cancers. Although research is ongoing, studies have demonstrated apple’s unique ability to reduce the risk of lung cancer and asthma. Apple intake is associated with a strong decrease in the oxidation of cell membrane fats - this is particularly important for blood vessel interior since these cells are important to cardiovascular health.

Pineapple
Pineapple is rated as an excellent source of manganese: a trace mineral with a key role in providing energy for the body and antioxidant support for cell protection. Thiamin is also among pineapple’s energy boosting components. Pineapple can be included in the 3 or more servings of fruit per day that studies have shown protect against age-related vision loss (macular degeneration).

Cayenne Pepper
Capsaicin found in cayenne pepper reduces inflammation and pain (especially with arthritis), reduce blood cholesterol, triglycerides, and platelet aggregation.  This spicy pepper has also been shown to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, and pulmonary embolism. Cayenne clears congestion in nose and lungs and can work even faster than other cold remedies.

Goji Berry
Goji berries (or wolfberries) come from an evergreen bush grown in China, Mongolia, and Tibet. This potent fruit contains large doses of fat-soluble vitamins including A (beta carotene), B-complex, and E. Goji berries are a concentrated source of vitamin C as well as iron and many trace minerals. Goji berries are rich in several unique phytonutrients (beneficial plant-based compounds); among them are lutein and zeaxanthin which are important for eye and nervous system health. The antioxidants and polysaccharides support probiotic bacteria, support immune function, and reduce inflammation. These polysaccharides also effectively detox the body by supporting liver function and promote post-workout recovery by removing lactic acid. The anti-inflammatory properties of goji berries have been used traditionally to treat asthma, allergies, chronic pain, and cancer. The combination of various beneficial compounds delivered by these powerful berries can also support a healthy endocrine system that more effectively manages stress - a major factor in all chronic disease.
