Spice up your Thanksgiving

You’re no doubt busy in the kitchen this week, but did you know that some of those ingredients are actually working wonders for your health? Spices are medicinal. They do great things for your system – that’s why we add these to some of our favorite recipes at Peeled. Try adding a sprinkle of this and a dash of that to your meals and truly thrive for the holidays!

 

Cinnamon: anti-inflammatory, stabilizes blood sugar, may even help boost memory

Ginger: great remedy for nausea, aids digestion, boosts immunity, supports healthy metabolism

Nutmeg: helps lower blood pressure, antioxidant 

Cardamom: aids digestion, great for aromatherapy

Mint: great digestive aid, antioxidants, may reduce allergy symptoms 

Cayenne pepper: aids digestion, calms the stomach, reduces inflammation and pain, supports healthy metabolism, boosts energy 

Basil: packed with vitamins and minerals, can be used topically to fight acne

Parsley: rich in vitamins C, B12, K and A, keeps immune system strong, supports kidney function

Turmeric: anti-inflammatory superfood!
